Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the re-signing of exciting young talent Jacob Liddle on a two-year deal.

The 19-year-old hooker has been impressive during his stints in both the Intrust Super Premiership and Holden Cup sides this season.

Liddle, an Australian Schoolboys representative, won the Club’s Under 20s Players’ Player Award last year in a stellar first season in Wests Tigers colours.

The Wyong Roos junior said he was pleased to have signed on with Wests Tigers until the end of 2018.

“I’m really excited to have signed on for 2017 and 2018 at Wests Tigers,” Liddle said.

“I had a really good pre-season under my belt with the NRL squad and that helped me build up a bit for this year.

“I feel like I’m keeping up with the pace of the game a bit better this season; I’ve had a few games in the Intrust Super Premiership and that has been really helpful for me.

“I’ve learned a lot from the senior guys here at the Club, they are very professional and I’m looking forward to learning more in years to come.

“My goal is to play a few more games of Intrust Super Premiership this year, get a good pre-season under my belt and then push for an NRL debut in the future.”

  1. Panfers definitely clearing the way for Cherrington next year.

Tigpies must have the worst player recruitment/retention in the NRL. Apart from Elijah Taylor which was more luck than management, everyone recruited is a dud and everyone let go has kicked on elsewhere.
