Wayne Bennett has confirmed his final team for tomorrow night’s match against the Wests Tigers, including the role of Jack Bird.

Bird was cleared by doctors earlier in the week to make his debut for the Broncos and after getting through training this morning, Bennett has said that he’ll start in place of the injured Jordan Kahu.

Tom Opacic had been originally named to replace Kahu and he’ll now shift to the bench, with Jaydn Su’A dropped from the 17.

The Broncos play the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium at 7.50pm on Friday.

  1. Jack Bird 🤣, this hot head is so overrated its not funny anymore. How could Bennett swap Mogo for this expensive nitwit. There’s not much of him and he thinks he is Mohamed Ali

  2. With Gillet, Glenn, Milford and Nikorima on the Broncos’ edges, I’m expecting the Broncos to continue to struggle defensively versus the Tigers. So far in the Broncos first two match those four players have collectively missed an average of 15 tackles per match (5 tackles (Glenn), 4 tackles (Gillett) and 3 tackles (Nikorima and Milford)).

All four players were similarly poor defensively last season.

Bennett is blind to those four player’s defensive deficiencies and their attacking production is not sufficient to make up for their defensive failings.
