Gold Coast Titans enforcer Mark Minichiello has revealed he is a long way off deciding which club he will play for next year and has refused to commit to the Gold Coast.
The rampaging backrower yesterday described reports he was set to sign a deal which would see him play out the rest of his career with the Titans as “news to my ears”.
Minichiello is off contract at the end of the year and is yet to start talks with the Titans.
It’s understood he will be offered a deal to remain at the Gold Coast but it will not be as much as he could earn to play in England or at potential NRL clubs.
“I don’t know where that (report) came from,” Minichiello said.
“I’m off contract at the end of the year but it’s only February so there’s still a long season ahead and I guess things will work themselves out in due course.”
