Ben Hunt
Two-year deal

Ben Hunt has signed a new two-year deal with the Brisbane Broncos.

Hunt inked the paperwork this morning to tie him to the club for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

Hunt said he had always been keen to stay a Bronco.

“I’ve enjoyed my time in Brisbane, there’s a great bunch of blokes and I wasn’t really interested in going anywhere else,” he said.

“I’m happy to be staying.”

Hunt has had a strong season so far playing his utility role off the bench, mostly covering for hooker Andrew McCullough.

However the former NYC Dally M Player of the Year played in his favoured position of the halves after Scott Prince was hurt last week against the Eels.

He is likely to see more time there against the Titans on Friday with Prince to miss at least a week.

But the 23-year-old is always a team man.

“I’m happy to play any role in the team,” he said.

“Obviously I would like a starting role in the future but I will play wherever Hook (coach Anthony Griffin) wants me.”
