Cronulla Sharks captain Paul Gallen has signed a new contract with the club which will make him a ‘Shark for Life’ and see the inspirational forward finish his career as a one-club player.
Gallen, who was already committed to playing the 2012 and 2013 seasons for the Sharks, has put pen to paper on an extension that will see him remain at the club through to the end of 2015.
The current NSW skipper and an integral member of the Australian Four Nations Team, Gallen committing his future to the Sharks is a significant development for the club as it strives to become a consistent contender in the NRL competition.
Sharks coach Shane Flanagan was excited to announce Gallen’s contract extension and went on to emphasise his captain’s importance to the Sharks both next year and into the future.
Gallen himself was pleased to have sorted out his footballing future and proud to be able to call himself a Shark for life.
