Former Kangaroos star Cameron Breust could be playing in the NRL as early as next season after signing a two-year deal with Parramatta.
Breust was snatched up by the Sydney club after impressing selectors playing in the top Canberra competition, as well as starring in the University State of Origin tournament.
He was initially picked up by Parramatta to play in the Toyota Cup, but last week got the call to ask if he would like to train with the NRL squad.
“It’s pretty exciting to be training with the NRL team,” he said.
Breust is all set to move up to Sydney this weekend, having already been lined up with an apartment by the Eels.
The young star could be seen playing alongside fellow Wagga export Daniel Mortimer by next NRL season.
