The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce young forwards Daniel Alvaro, Kaysa Pritchard and Alex Twal have re-signed with the Blue and Gold.

22 year-old Daniel Alvaro, who made his NRL debut for the club in 2015, and 21 year-old Kaysa Pritchard, who made his NRL debut for the Eels in 2013, will both extend their contracts with Parramatta until the end of 2018.

Alex Twal, 19, who is yet to make his NRL debut, has extended for an additional season to the end of 2017.

“The thing you notice immediately about Daniel, Alex and Kaysa is their attitude and dedication to their training and preparation,” Head Coach Brad Arthur said.

“They’re talented footballers, but they’re also quality people to have around the club, and that’s what we’re looking for. I’m looking forward to seeing them continue to learn from the leaders in the team and progress this season.”

  1. Parra taking the right steps in signing these young juniors. Alvaro and Twal are definitely keepers and Kaysa is as well – despite his injuries

  2. this is finally a good move by the eels as they badly need forwards to replace the over rated ones they have now … using the freed up $$ now of watmough they might get some good forwards finally would be good to see them get off the bottom for once this might finally get them into the 8 in the next couple seasons 2017 ..2018 …believe that

      • eels fans keep the dream alive that the eels will make the 8 in 2016 then at seasons end you will wake up and realise the nightmare … need more than watmough the forwards are as retired looking as watmough ..believe that

        • Is that beleivethat real name Christoper Holmes ? .. well its not SHERLOCK HOLMES that’s for sure he knows jack squat

        • the piston telling your name Christopher holmes stick to the subject we don’t care what your name is …believe that

        • hey piston. no worries mate, i know u are giving it to that troll. yeah, christopher holmes is a manly supporter who made the mistake of using his names on here last year, he disappeared only to return with about 6 different log in names. even using parrafug to make parra fans turn on each other, he is also chrisrox, believethat, dce7, and a few other manly names. it just confirms manly has the worst supporters in the NRL. Looking forward to the season – im very positive about parra this year and into the future. keep up the good work buddy, i love to see you sticking it up the trolls.

    • I think this is the first ‘half compliment’ you’ve given the Parra fans haha.

On a serious note, great re-signings, Kaysa needs to try and stay fit, he’s injury prone.

Twal and Alvaro are good forwards and giving them games in first grade will boost their confidence.

  3. Good to resign these young fellas, Pritchard’s just gotta stay injury free. I’ve liked what i have seen of him in the top grade when hes had the chance. Is dynamic and quick out of dummy half, would be ideal at end of each half when big forwards are tired.
Alvaro, good worker and decent prospect, Twal is a gun from what i hear.
Gotta tie up Junior first and foremost i think…believethis
