Former Junior Warriors captain, David Bhana didn’t quite get the game time he felt he earnt after being signed to a first-grade contract at the Warriors.

That’s why at the end of this season, he and the club reached mutual agreeance to go their separate ways.

A big call for the player earmarked as the ‘next Simon Mannering’ averaging the most tackles per game in his final year in the junior ranks, to walk away from the club who gave him a shot at professional rugby league.

Newcastle head coach, Nathan Brown wasted no time in signing Bhana after realising that the Warriors were not going to make full use of his youthful services.

“They’ve been doing a lot of recruiting in the off season, they didn’t have a good 2015, so I’m excited about the rebuild” says Bhana.

    • Probably will be a back, McManus is in doubt not to play leaving a spot to fill or at least have a back-up plan for. We’ve got two options for FB Gagai and Mamo, yeah Mamo has got some issues but you got to admit this guy is going to be tearing it up in the next 2 years.

I’d love to sign a big name forward, that way we can dominate with an awesome pack and simply pass it every time to Gagai and then with that plan we will win the comp.

    • Couldn’t agree more Lousi to go please. Glad to see Warriors are get rid of some of the off cuts from the juniors who can’t crack first grade. All these Nsw contracted NRL plAyers wasting the money hopefully a prop or forward ulitity with size and experience

  1. Mullen and hodkison if they can stay on the park is killer halves with gagai mamo sione uate and mcmanus/ross/ chanel outwide should be some point just need there forwards to stand up

  2. Which do you Newcastle fans prefer at Fullback? Mamo or Gagai? I personally like Mamo sure hes abit of loose cannon but some of those games he played in NRL he seemed to give only 100% will be a weapon in the future imo

  3. Roosters… Gagai at fullback all day mate.
Speed footwork a kicking game a very good passing game and can beat defense with power or speed or foot or fend.
Mamo is nothing special IMO.. Gives he’s all has speed but from their its very average.
Can’t pass can’t read the play can’t tackle and most of all.. He’s a sook and sits on one moment and forgets the moment of the game hes in.

    • I heard this a while back bro read a conversation between him and issac Luke and he’s keen to move back home and play for the Warriors. I used to follow through the system this guy got a high work rate has a great tackle tech. Great signing knighs hope he works out for you guys.
