Dual NRL premiership winner Dane Carlaw will return to the club that made him a Test representative after agreeing to a one-year deal with the NRMA Insurance Broncos.

Carlaw, now 29, will return to Australia after seeking a release from his English Super League club, the French-based Catalans Dragons.

The Brisbane-born forward had played three seasons with the Dragons after leaving the Broncos at the conclusion of the 2007 NRL season.

He will now return to Red Hill and is expected to begin training before Christmas.
