The North Queensland Cowboys have re-signed young five-eighth Michael Morgan to a 3 year deal until the end of 2013.
Morgan made his NRL debut for the Cowboys in 2010, playing four first grade games before returning to lead the successful Toyota Cup side that went on to finish the season in fourth place.
“I got the taste for first grade last season and it was a fantastic experience to partner with a player of Johnathan Thurston’s status,” Morgan said.
“I believe I can continue to learn and develop my career with the Cowboys and I’m looking forward to where the next three years take me.”
The Cowboys had been looking to sign Sydney Roosters captain Braith Anasta to play the five-eighth position but this may be a sign that they will not pursue him any more.
