Adam Clydsdale

Newcastle Knights hooker Adam Clydsdale is poised to leave the club after agreeing to join the Canberra Raiders on a two-year-deal.

The 22-year-old still has a year to run on his Knights deal but after being told he was free to explore his options for next season, the opportunity to secure his long term playing future was too attractive to resist.

Clydsdale received interest from a handful of NRL club including Melbourne, while Super League powerhouse Leeds were eager to snare the rake as they search for a replacement for Paul Aiton who has joined Catalans.

The Rhinos have now turned their attention to unsigned Raider Glenn Buttris and Titans rake Beau Falloon.
