Daly Cherry-Evans has given the strongest indication he will sign a new contract at the Manly Sea Eagles and he believes they can go back-to-back this season.
Cherry-Evans, the face of the game, said he feels at home on the Northern Beaches despite approaches from the Brisbane Broncos and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
“If all goes to plan I’ll be here for many years to come,” Cherry-Evans said.
“There’s obviously a lot of work in progress and we are going through the steps to make it happen, so hopefully it can be delivered. I’ve loved my time at Manly. They were the ones that gave me my first opportunity.”
It’s been a difficult off-season for Manly with the departure of coach Des Hasler and speculation surrounding the future of certain players at Brookvale.
