Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs utility back Patrick Templeman is set to be given a chance to win a North Queensland Cowboys contract as playmaker Robert Lui fights to save his career in North Queensland.
A Sunshine Coast junior, Templeman is being chased by four Intrust Super Cup clubs – Wynnum Manly, Redcliffe, Easts and Cowboys feeder-club Northern Pride.
But the 21-year-old is tipped to join ladder leaders the Pride, with Templeman planning to broker a pre-season with the Cowboys as part of his move north.
Lui is one playmaker on shaky ground at the Cowboys. The 24-year-old remains off-contract and has yet to receive an offer from the Cowboys after being ordered to lose weight.
