Jayson Bukuya
Re-signed for two-years

Having recently penned a two year extension, Cronulla Sharks revelation Jayson Bukuya has found a home for himself and is fast making a name for himself in rugby league circles.

A 22-year-old father, the Fijian representative with his future locked up and has been relishing his injury free year in first grade.

“It’s good for my family and to get it off my mind and out of the way,” Bukuya told sportsnewsfirst.com.au of his new deal.

“It feels good to play consistent week-in-week-out.

“I find I get on good with Flanno (coach Shane Flanagan) and he’s given me a lot of opportunity to prove myself and game time so it’s good.”

Scouted at 16, a Queensland native, Bukuya moved to Sydney in the Shark house at the completion of his schooling he worked his way through the Cronulla lower grades in what is his fifth year with the club.

The Sharks have also re-signed much improved centre Matthew Wright for a further two seasons.
