Brisbane Broncos
Season Preview

Who is Anthony Griffin?

The Broncos’ new head coach has a relatively low profile in NRL circles, having spent most of his coaching career in the Queensland Cup.

Ivan Henjak’s assistant for the past two seasons, Anthony Griffin took the Broncos under 20s to the inaugural grand final of the Toyota Cup in 2008.

Prior to that, he spent three years coaching the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup, including to a premiership in 2006.

The 44-year-old was also assistant coach at the Melbourne Storm from 2001-2002.
