Could Carmont make NRL return?
New Zealand Warriors general manager Dean Bell would not be drawn on speculation the club is interested in recruiting George Carmont.
Rumours have surfaced that Carmont could be in the frame for an NRL swansong next season after ending his hugely-successful five-year stay with the Wigan Warriors.
And Bell’s silence will only fan the flames that the 34-year-old could be on their radar.
The Evening Post understands Carmont will hold talks with Bell later this month after flying back to Auckland.
And a role working as an off-field mentor for young players, while also providing cover for the three-quarters, may appeal to the dad-of-five.

Stick with the young players.
Why would Matt sign a 34 year old player when the Warriors juniors are more the capable of getting the job done
. It does not make sense
.
Warriors jrs can’t get job done look wat happend this year send hurrel and Henry to vulcans . will b best thing for them . There time will come .

Locke could be suspended for half the season due to drink driving convictions.
Ropati probably won’t last another entire season.
Fishiahi is just unable to make the break into first grade – he goes from scoring 5 tries in 1 game for Vulcans to playing shit for Warriors.
Leuluai only signed with us because McClennan was here, don’t be surprised to see him wanting to go and as a result under-performing
Vatuvei’s time has come to move him into the forwards but he would be better suited to Prop as it is not worth losing out on Mateo and Taylor on the field instead of Vatuvei.
was hopeless when he left the knights then went to England that never improves a player they usually only get worse don’t do it
Carmont’s still got it but at 34 really? I’m guessing they’re looking for experience within their pack so would that move Konkrete to the forwards as they’ve signed Nielsen? Hopefully with the signing of Thomas & Elliot they’ll do better then..what 13th?
If he can keep his foot under control, Hurrell would make a great winger over Tupou. I think Vatuvei still has another season on the wing.
Chasing Ayshford would be a good idea for outside back cover. Also, if the rumours are true, nabbing McKendry from Penrith would be good too.
