Shaun Lunt is hoping to secure a permanent move to the Leeds Rhinos following a successful at Headingley Carnegie.
The 25-year-old joined Leeds from the Huddersfield Giants in April and played a role in the successful defence of their Super League title.
Lunt has three years remaining on his Giants deal and he is hopeful Leeds' chief executive Gary Hetherington can work out a deal with John Smith's Stadium club.
"I would love to stay here, but we'll have to see what happens," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"I am going to enjoy this and hopefully my manager can sort something out with Gary."
