Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson has signed experienced forward Stuart Fielden on a two-year contract.
The 33-year-old was released by the Wigan Warriors at the end of the Super League season after enduring an injury-plagued final 18-months at the DW Stadium.
Fielden joined the Warriors in 2006 for a world record fee from Bradford Bulls but has managed only a handful of appearances over the last two years due to pectoral and knee problems.
"I was speaking to a number of clubs and having come from a top standard club, I wanted to have something similar," Fielden told the official Giants website.
"For the last two years Huddersfield have been in the top four for two thirds of the season so there is obviously something right going on and with Paul Anderson's plans hopefully we will get to the top."
