As well as the usual statistics for most tries and top running metres, here's a look at some of the more unusual stats at the end of Round 20 and which players lead the way in those categories.

Top tacklers

Roosters hooker Jake Friend leads the tackle count this season, although what's most impressive is the margin in which he leads it by.

Friend has made 960 tackles this year, a staggering 183 more than the next player, Dragons hooker Mitch Rein.

New Zealand's Simon Mannering (732) and Canberra's Elliott Whitehead (728) are the top forwards in this category, with Cameron Smith (705) from the Storm rounding out the top 5.

Top dummy-half runners

Two hookers have amassed three figure dummy-half runs, with both Warriors number nine Issac Luke and Dragons' Mitch Rein chalking up 100 runs on the season.

The top seven players in the statistic are all hookers, with Tigers winger David Nofoaluma leading the charge among the rest of the players with 62 runs himself.

Most decoys

According to the stats, the Melbourne Storm love to use decoy runners, as the top two players in this category both ply their trade in Melbourne.

Dale Finucane (153 runs) and Jesse Bromwich (136) lead the way, with two Warriors players, Simon Mannering (132) and Ryan Hoffman (121), close behind.

Most missed tackles

To beat the West Tigers just attack their halves, well, at least that's according to this stat.

Luke Brooks (85) and Mitchell Moses (71) occupy the top two spots on this table, with Sharks five-eighth James Moloney (71) and Broncos halfback Ben Hunt (70) close behind.

Last line of defence tackles

Four fullbacks all have made eight tackles as the last line of defence, with Canterbury's Will Hopoate, North Queensland's Lachlan Coote, St George Illawarra's Josh Dugan and Sydney's Latrell Mitchell all leading the way.

Sharks number one Ben Barba rounds out the top five having made seven tackles.
