The Wigan Warriors have signed Australian full-back Matt Bowen as a direct replacement for the outgoing Sam Tomkins.

The Super League club confirmed on Monday that Tomkins would join New Zealand Warriors at the end of the season after agreeing a world record transfer fee with the NRL side.
But the Warriors have already tried to fill the gap left by his departure by recruiting Bowen from North Queensland Cowboys.
The 31-year-old will join on a one-year contract for the 2014 season, with the deal also containing an option for the following campaign.
