Tigers departure likely
The Wests Tigers have delayed making a call on coach Tim Sheens’ expected departure from the NRL club.
An anticipated board meeting at the club’s Concord headquarters failed to materialise on Monday night – with the end of season review triggered by the side’s dismal 2012 showing set to continue in the coming days.
The delay is unlikely to save Sheens’ position however, which appears to have become untenable following a backlash from players upset at the player cleanout being undertaken by the club.
It is believed the Tigers are working on a financial settlement with the four-time premiership-winning mentor, who has two years remaining on his contract believed to be worth $450,000 a season.

great stuff y do we wait for a delay to an important issue? just tell the news and get on with next season and the buys and goings and no more bad news
I’m with you Brandon, all this bad attention isn’t going to make quality players Line up and play for the tigers. Just get on with it so the club can start rebuilding.
Players are unhappy with the clean out. He is Mr Sheens. Clean dust and polish with Mr Sheens. lol I am still waiting for the polish.
Sheens was looking like a good coach last year, Wests started this year as favourites to win the comp. Bennett was considered Newcastle’s saviour, they brought the most players to their club and they were second favourites at the start of the year. Both failed to make the 8. Bennett would have won the most votes for the best coach in the game last year. Hasler and Bellamy are now considered the 2 best coaches in the game by most people. I will be laughing even louder if Newcastle don’t make the 8 next year. What a diference a year makes.
Mr Sheens is now done and dusted.
Sheens and Benji to the Warriors.what a combo Benji and Shaun Johnson will be
Don’t make us laugh dude, there is no such thing as a good combo if benji look at me marshal is involved.
Big mail is sheens to coach caboolture snakes on a 5 yr deal!
Caboolture Snakes wouldn’t want him either unless he took Benji with him.
Every player, coach, referee, touch judge, CEO, Manager etc has their use-by date. The problem is some of them don’t know when that date is. Hope they all work it out.
I’ve heard Sheens has just this hour stepped down.
And Benji whinging all the way…sounds like a also needs a change of scenery.
On another league website it’s been reported sheens has stepped down as coach and told both club and players on mon

I would hate to be a Tigers supporter at the moment.
He is from Wests, so I think the sharks are planning to sign him. ;c)
