Tom Humble quits Tigers to join Panthers

Tom Humble

Two-year deal

Penrith Panthers believe they have found a replacement for playmaker Travis Burns with utility Tom Humble this morning announcing he has left the Wests Tigers to become a Panther.

As the player exodus from the Wests Tigers continued despite the appointment of new coach Mick Potter, Humble wrote on Twitter he will join the Panthers on a two-year-deal.

It comes hot on the heels of former Tigers players Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington's shock moves to Cronulla.

Humble now faces a tough battle to win his spot in Panthers coach Ivan Cleary's top 17 players with Lachlan Coote and Luke Walsh the incumbent halves.
