Two-year deal
The Gold Coast Titans have signed young English fullback Matthew Russell and could have playmaker Albert Kelly on their books by the end of the week.
Wigan Warriors youngster Russell will join the club on a two-year deal as he chases an opportunity in the NRL.
Titans football manager Scott Clark confirmed the Russell signing.
With the Russell deal sorted, the Titans are now focusing on finalising a deal with the well-travelled Kelly.
Kelly has been on the books of Parramatta, Cronulla and Newcastle, having being sacked by the Sharks and Knights.
The Titans will meet Kelly’s management in the coming days.

They should’ve signed Slaimankhel when they had the cance this year. Lol and they resigned Zillman till 2017. This screams ut bad management. But anyway Titans may mae the finals next year.

He will be fighting for a spot at Fullback at the Sharks next year, he came back from injury in Rd 25 in NSW Cup.
Hard to see Gardiner getting a spot at fullback with Gordon coming in?

His picture doesn’t indicate that he is a youngster, perhaps he has had a hard life. What position will Zillman play? And Kelly, I hope that the Titans can turn him atound, he has ability but not showing it.
Kelly has had enough chances this will be his 5th having 2 at his time with the Sharks and Knights. How desperate are the Titans.

Our CEO David May is honestly an idiot. He does not know how to market to the Gold Coast audience. Skilled Park is like a smaller scale version of Suncorp Stadium. It’s one of the best Rugby League stadiums in the world. We have great players, great facilities, the only problem is the Gold Coast is gut-wrenched of a good team! If we start winning games, lowering prices and fix up our terrible public transport, the Gold Coast Titans will be out of the bad news section and into the good.

Yeah I know, but he still doesn’t know how to exactly market the team to the Gold Coast audience.
Searle definitely is to blame, he was the worst CEO in the past couple of years, he just kept on borrowing money and not creating the foundations that the club needed. Heck we almost were kicked out of the comp. I surely do hope that May can clean up the mess, and create the club into a dominant one, one that we certainly do have potential with our quality players, facilities and coaching staff.
