The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed skipper Scott Prince will no longer be with the club but will stay with the NRL. It comes after Prince turned down an offer from Hull FC after an NRL side tabled a "significant and much larger" last-minute bid.

Titans CEO David May said in a press conference this morning: "Scott yesterday asked for a release from the final year of his contract, and after a day of discussions we reluctantly agreed to that release yesterday evening, so Scott will not be a player with us next year."
"I can also confirm he is not going to Hull... And he will be staying in the NRL."
"I do not however know with which club."
It comes as speculation is rife that the Brisbane Broncos are the front-runners to sign the skipper, with some even suggesting a deal had already been done.
