Ten year reign could be over
Wests Tigers and coach Tim Sheens could part ways as early as today.
The Daily Telegraph understands a board meeting scheduled for tonight could end Sheens’ 10-year reign at the Concord club.
Sheens has been under immense pressure since his side – NRL pre-season favourites – crashed out of contention before this year’s NRL finals.
Wests Tigers sources hope Sheens can land the vacant New Zealand Warriors job to avoid having to sack him.
He still has another two years remaining on his contract but the Tigers hope an easy and financially-friendly settlement can be reached.
Peter Gentle and Nathan Brown have been mentioned as possible replacements but are unlikely to win the plum job. Mick Potter is another.

This just goes from bad to worst for the Tigers. I really feel for their supporters.
It’s good to see you’re not commenting on the Panthers. And I do agree with you, things at the Tigers are looking gloomy, especially with them releasing Ayshford today. They’re starting side looks like this…
1. Tedesco
2. Utai
3. Reddy
4. Lawrence
5. Tequiri
6. Marshall
7. Moltzen
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Kite?
11. Anasta
12. Blair
13. Fulton
100% will not look like that lol we have Simona and Nofoaluama ahead of Reddy.
please dont go tim you have done a great job killing the tigers and helping turn the sharks around hahahahahahahaha
Would be the best news ive heard in awhile! the mention of ‘as early as today’ in this article excites me.
At the same time, Tim, why don’t you re-sign the Australian coach role too.
I hope you mean resign… not re-sign… They have very different meanings!
I do hope Sheens quits as Roo’s coach, he’s not up to scratch there either.
Yes I did, Hoopdawg.
Worst coach in the nrl for the past 5 years. His had a solid team with the likes of Highington Benji Robbie Big Forwards in woods and gallaway. I think their problem was never letting go of any players for a few years than all the players wanted pay increases at the same time and finally it all court upto them?????????? Who knows
go you scum club wrecker . Bring back the Magpies
Marshall is rumoured to have a get out clause if sheens leave. Could follow him to the Warriors. Marshall and Johnson in the havles what a combo.
It would be interesting if that actually happened. They would make a top pair of halves and Marshall being from NZ would make it even more probable.
sheens is going to the warriors
nathan brown coaching the tigers
Tim sheens is still a great coach and any team would be welcome to have him about of any club

Marshall and Johnson what a combo alright.
It will be good to see Sheens at the Warriors and its rumoured Peter Gentle could be coaching at the Tigers next year.
Sheens and Marshall at Warriors… Distinct possibility. If that’s indeed the case then the in-coming coach might be behind all the dubious wheeling ‘n’ dealing. Ah well Sheensy, ya had a good enough crack at it.
I don’t believe a coach getting turfed is an over-night thing, if it does happen. Makes you wonder how long this has been in the making…
Please don’t come to the warriors Tim, our boys know how to attack, we need a coach with some defensive nous
JEEZ TSHEENS WHAT HAPPENED..?
Losing Sheens would be the best thing to happen to the club since 2005.
Tigers need a coach with transfer knowledge, sheens really needs to go
Tim sheens would be great at the warriors he would bring in some discipline and would have more of a chance of winning the premiership with warriors than tigers as they are on the way down only good players are Marshall who could come to the warriors as well and play at home in nz Shaun Johnson and Marshall best combo in Nrl and robbie farrah , sign him up warriors he is a four time premiership winner so knows how to win one
my team for next year would look like this
