Seluini will join the Roosters immediately
The Sydney Roosters have secured the services of promising young hooker Nafe Seluini, with the Tongan international joining the club today after being granted an immediate release from his contract with the Penrith Panthers.
The 22 year-old joins the club on a one and a half year deal that takes him through to the conclusion of the 2013 NRL season.
Sydney Roosters recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan said: “Nafe is athletic, has terrific speed off the mark and will add some great depth to our interchange, and as a back-up hooker to Jake Friend.
“Nafe’s best football is ahead of him and we look forward to his developing as part of our team.”

@ Tiger Jungle. Mate I’m not a Roosters fan but you need to get your facts right. Between 2000-04 the Roosters made the GF 4 years. The only other club to have matched that is the Storm. Keep in mind your club has only made the finals 3 times since the merger. Keep in mind your club went on a spending spree late 03 and had a massive turn over for 04 which paid of in 05 which was a fluke in most eyes besides the people who supported the Tigers . You say your club is good cause they don’t buy players from the Roosters. Out of the 17 players that took the field on the weekend only 6 are juniors. Your club buys from everyone else including Roosters players. Future reference, do some research before you bag out another club. Your club is one of the biggest poachers in the NRL claiming they have great juniors when there from other clubs hahahaha. Great work mate

Ben Te’o and Luke Lewis were Tigers juniors and both of them are great forwards. Mitchell Pearce played for the tigers and so did Minichiello he was born in Liverpool

Ben Te’o was brought over from NZ so he didn’t really come up the Juniors. And Mitchell Pearce played for North Sydney in the u’16′s and I actually played against him before he signed with Roosters. Anthony Minichiello might be from Liverpool but if read the articles about his resigning you will see he was with the Roosters from 16′s and up.
