Knights and Eels keen on star forward
Greg Bird is officially on the market for the 2014 season from November 1, with his Gold Coast Titans deal to expire at the end of 2013.
His free agency is set to trigger a barrage of interest in the NSW star, who has become an integral part of the Gold Coast during his three seasons at the club.
Bird has been heavily linked to the Parramatta Eels and Newcastle Knights.
The Titans are quietly confident the 28-year-old will extend his tenure on the Gold Coast and Bird’s manager, Chris Orr, said it would take a bumper deal to make him move.
Orr confirmed Parramatta and Newcastle were looking to snare Bird, with the Knights shaping as the sentimental favourites.

he said in a interview that he would finish his career at the sharks and join his best mate gallen. cronulla are looking to unload tupou so dnt be surprise if there is a mid season swap.
Bird will finish his career with a club that has a chance of winning a premiership at the moment the sharks greatest accomplishment in years is they made the top 8 and got flogged by the faiders.
