The Parramatta Eels today announced the re-signing of strong performing senior player Casey McGuire and boom NYC prop Peni Terepo.
McGuire, 31, has signed a one-year extension that will see him through until the end of the 2012 season while Terepo, 20, agreed to a two-year-deal amidst strong competition from rival clubs.
Eels coach Stephen Kearney said McGuire’s versatility and experience had come to the fore this season.
“Casey’s done a great job for us in a number of important positions this year,” Kearney said.
Kearney said Terepo’s re-signing was another step in ensuring the Eels’ strong junior stocks are retained.

“Peni’s shown great potential and we’re excited to have him for the next couple of years,” Kearney said.
Terepo’s re-signing follows that of Jacob Loko, Taniela Lasalo, Mitchell Allgood, Ryan Morgan, Pat O’Hanlon and Rory Brien – all of which have made the step up to NRL football this year.
