Swap with Harrison on the table
The Newcastle Knights and Canberra Raiders have discussed the prospect of trading internationals Wes Naiqama and Bronson Harrison, possibly before the June 30 transfer deadline.
Naiqama, the Fijian Test captain, and Harrison, the former New Zealand Test back-rower, are in the first years of new three-year contracts they signed last season but the Newcastle Herald has been told their respective clubs are trying to shop them around.
When asked yesterday whether the Raiders had considered the swap deal, Canberra chief executive Don Furner told the Herald: ‘‘It has been discussed but nothing concrete.’’
Media speculation this week has linked another out of favour Knights centre, Junior Sa’u, to Canberra and the Cronulla Sharks. But sources told the Herald a mid-season switch for Sa’u was unlikely.
The Knights’ policy is to not comment on player recruitment or retention.

The raiders do realise they’re getting ripped off right
I don’t think they do hey, Harrison has HUGE amount of potential, he would thrive under a coach like Bennett, Belamy or Hasler.
Junior Sa’u would become a good player in a Sharks jersey. Playing outside Carney, with their forward pack. He would score lots of tries.
As for Naiqama, he would be a handy player at the raiders
bronson harrison cant even make it into raiders 17 anymore
Harrison is a good player just under a terrible coach and the only reason that terrible coach is still the coach is his brother is the CEO
harrison quality player , bennet will turn him back into international again. I dont think sharks should buy sau. his days in centres a numbered, might have to move to backrow and sharkies have alot quality backrowers
yeah im not to sure either, how ever he cant be going to expensive. so a cheap pick up might be a good option for a year or two. i think/ hope the sharks are holding back a little as a few quality backs are coming onto the market
