Green, 25, played lower grades for the Sharks, but made his NRL debut with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2006. Green has played a total of 41 games since joining the Dragons in 2008. He has played his best football this season, making 13 appearances while averaging 73 metres per game along with 24 tackles.
After losing 2011 starting props Luke Douglas and Kade Snowden to rival clubs, the Sharks have been active in trying to fill the hole left by their departure. The Sharks have also recently signed Mark Taufua from the Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels halfback Jeff Robson along with Gold Coast Titans mid-season transfer Sam Tagataese.
