Taking no notice of fuss about future
Israel Folau insists he will remain an AFL player despite appearing in the reserves last Saturday. And his coach, Kevin Sheedy, is furious at suggestions the rugby league convert won’t make it.
In the second year of a four-year contract with fledgling GWS, Folau said he will “absolutely” honour the deal and revealed he needed an epidural injection to recover from a back injury which kept him out of the side for a month.
The Giants eased Folau back through their feeder team but the former Queensland State of Origin star endorsed the decision.
Folau said he had taken no notice of the fuss about his future.
“When I was playing rugby league I really enjoyed my time there, but for me now I’m on a different journey playing AFL football and that’s what I have to focus on,” he said.
Rorters will surely buy him. Anyway they have shit centres. Tautau Moga and Shaun Kenny-Dowall. Nothing compared to the benchmark centres Ayshford and Lawrence.
Your a joke. Tautau Moga scored 2 tries in his debut and 35 tries in SG Ball NYC and has been compared to Izzy Folau and SBW. Kenny-Dowall is a NZ rep and was equal top tryscorer 2010. We may also get SBW and Ayshford is a Roosters junior.

I wonder what goes through his mind when he is playing for reserves knowing that if he was in league he would be playing for QLD in one of the most anticipated games in the history of RL. No amount of money would make that shit feeling go away LMAO. Even if he returned he will be the loser because he will have never cemented a legacy in any of the two codes. Instead of going down as one of the greats he will just be another good player period.
