Combo coaching gig
Signs point to a combination of veteran coach Matt Elliott and rookie David Kidwell at the New Zealand Warriors next season.
Elliott - the former Bradford Bulls , Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers coach - appears a natural fit for the general manager position. At the beginning of the recruitment process the club stipulated it would pursue a figure with considerable NRL experience.
Elliott, sacked by Penrith to make way for Ivan Cleary , is believed to have impressed during the extensive interview process the club has performed in Sydney over recent weeks.
An assistant to Craig Bellamy at the Storm , Kidwell has the advantage of having been immersed in the highly regarded Storm system as both a coach and player.
