Two-year deal with the Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Eels have strengthened their forward pack for next NRL season by signing promising Manly Sea Eagles back-rower Daniel Harrison on a two-year deal.
Harrison, 24, has played in 14 of the Sea Eagles’ 15 NRL games this season in a premiership-winning side boasting international back-rowers Tony Williams and Glenn Stewart.
Gosford product Harrison becomes the Eels’ second recruit from Manly in a matter of weeks, with Darcy Lussick also signed on for 2013.
It comes just a day after Parramatta released Shane Shackleton to join Penrith with immediate effect.

Hahahahahahaha Tigers still have the better squad
are you the same person who on this forum declared the tigers premiership winners this year and next? before you go comparing squads on a completly irrelevant article i’d like to point out that since scott prince left the tigers they have been doing fairly sh!# and until benji gets a decent halfback to share playmaking duties your wests tigers will never win another premiership…
back to my point, i dont get why the eels signed him. He may be an allright player but they have tons of backrowers tautai, lasalo and horo lurking for spots on the bench. They honestly should have invested in a gun prop for next year.
Though if anyone here plays nrl fantasy football darcy lussick should be getting heaps of game time and a starting spot, a definate cash cow
what is going on at manly, he has some good skills and seems a good worker, why let him go?? and also why would you leave they are a solid team with the chance of another title in the next 2-3 years……
It’s called salary cap milk with Manly having so many back ended deals they have no money to offer Daniel and he has to live. In a perfect world they would have money to offer and he would stay but it isn’t. You can blame Andes Hasler for ll of the back ended contracts?
why would ya go to parra?you could learn your trade alot better at manly with a very experience pack and become a very good player.soak up the winning feeling now mate because you’ll be missing it next year.
I rate this guy, decent player but just killed his career
Just another central coast player force to prop up sydney clubs with no local talent. Seriously decent players actually being developed by the clubs they play for is rarer then diamonds. The central coast is what keeps western sydney teams going.
