Fresh start with Easts Tigers
The Easts Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of former Mackay Cutters forward Dane Hogan, who will join the club for the 2013 season.
The 23-year old Bribie Island junior, who today inked a two-year contract, said the desire to be closer to family was a deciding factor in making the move south.
“Easts seems like a good club… I know a lot of people here, friends and family, so that was one of the main reasons in coming back to Brisbane,” he said.
“My old man still lives at Bribie as well, so it’s good not being too far away from him.”
Hogan joined the North Queensland Cowboys in 2008 and progressed through the National Under 20s Youth competition, where he was named player of the season in 2009.
He then made his NRL debut for the Cowboys against the Sydney Roosters in 2010 before chalking up 10 appearances in the top grade that year.
But for the blonde-haired backrower, the shift from his Townsville base represents a “fresh start”.

more like “a never was”
Looks a bit like former Cowboy Mitchell Sargent.
slow news day there
Zero Tackle,I’ve noticed Lachlan Maranta has vanished from the Broncos off contract list, any idea where he has gone?
He’s apparently still under contract with the Broncos next year so we’ve updated the site to reflect that status.
Thankyou!
