Hooker close to signing
The North Queensland Cowboys believe Scott Moore could have the same devastating impact as the Englishmen now making their mark in the NRL.
North Queensland are close to signing the Huddersfield hooker, with a visa clearance and a few "boxes that need to be ticked" the only things stopping him moving to Townsville for 2013.
Cowboys football manager Peter Parr said England international Moore was an exciting prospect.
While Super League has long been regarded as being inferior to the NRL, English players are proving they are up to the Australian game.
Gareth Widdop (Melbourne) and James Graham (Canterbury) will play in Sunday's grand final while brothers Sam and Luke Burgess (South Sydney) and Gareth Ellis (Wests Tigers) have been hugely influential in recent seasons.
