Still expected to sign with English Club
New Gold Coast Titans boss David May is the man challenged with keeping Scott Prince with the club after it was revealed coach John Cartwright and Michael Searle will not make an early return from an overseas trip to meet the foundation captain.
Cartwright and Searle masterminded Prince’s defection from the premiership-winning Wests Tigers to be the marquee signing of the Titans’ inaugural 2007 squad.
But the pair will not play an aggressive role in trying to sway Prince from a decision to move to English Super League club Hull FC.
Despite the drama, the pair have opted to remain overseas rather than return over the weekend to make last-ditch face-to-face efforts to keep Prince on the Gold Coast.
He is still expected to sign with the English club.

Yeah Prince is a bit hot and cold i think but Albert Kelly if they can keep him out of trouble will slot right in and he has all the skills and a very good kicking game ….from a Knights supporter i would have loved to see us keep him .
Searle and Cartwright don’t seem too worried that he may leave. Prince has been good for the club but every player reaches their use-by date. It’s best that Prince leave now than be tapped on the shoulder sometime in the not too distant future. Good luck and thanks for the memories.
The coach doesnt need to be there. Scott “Princess” Prince is contracted to the Titans for 2013. If the coach says no. Its no.
Do you remember the new ownership or whatever, every player has to sign a new contract, which I’m pretty sure he can leave if he wants.
I hope Cartwright goes with Prince to the Super League, hopeless coach he is now.

If Cartwright/May really wanted Prince to stay then as soon as they heard the news they should have dropped there temporary holiday to secure the foundation of their club for the next few years but I guess not, Prince will go well in ESL!

No need to return from OS that is what internet conference calls are for, I say let Prince go he is pass his used by date imo and sounds like a bit of a princess but that is just my opinion I don’t know the bloke.
