On the outer at Bondi club
Wrecking ball Mose Masoe’s days at the Sydney Roosters are numbered, with three Sydney-based clubs ready to swoop.
Masoe was dropped from the Roosters’ top squad but is in demand after starring for the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup finals series.
A UK-based club is also offering big money.

Im a very loyal rooster fan, and i believe Mose is a great player, big and strong, and i would personally love him in the team, he adds lots of depth in the forward pack, but if he has to go, wouldn’t be surprised if he takes the money for the UK
I don’t want Mose to go. =( I’m a Roosters fan. Only problem is that he won’t get much game time at the Roosters because we have Warea-Hargreaves, Moa, Kennedy and we have Kane Evans and Dylan Napa who would be wanting to get a spot in 1st grade seeing as they are such good players, so if Mose is getting offered decent or big money, he’s probably gonna go.
It says on this very site under “Teams” that Masos has resigned with the roosters until2015. What’s going on???
Who honestly cares
Would love to see the Panthers get this guy. Met him at work the other day and I haven’t seen a more humble, gentle giant then him.
Me too but we have no room. Who would we drop to have him on the feild. Newton Robinson Grant Mckendry Manu Brown?
Take your pick…any of them.
Actually, one correction…definitely not Grant!
Ill tell you this now. Next year Matt Robinson will be one to watch next year. At Penrith all the players put on massive weight over the pre seaon so if he puts on an extra 5 to 10 kgs he will be running harder. Id keep the team how it is next year.
I wouldn’t, I would drop Dayne Weston and pick up Mose Masose
.
Love to get him to the dragons.
Apparently Wakefield are interested in Masoe.
Then I would say that he would go to England. The Aussie clubs can not compete with the big dollars that are offered by the English clubs
^-^.
That may have been true in the past but exchange rates have changed a lot since then. Massive pay days in the UK are a thing of the past.
The Super League Cap is nothing compared to the NRL’s. NRL Cap will be something like A$5.5 Million whilst the Super League Cap will be something like A$2.8 Million.
Good point, Zero Tackle.
The salary cap is over here is around £1.65m. There will be less teams that spend to the cap limit in 2013. We’re in a bit of a mess financially over here.
Help? haha.
