Storm ready to pay big for Bellamy
Craig Bellamy has given the strongest indication yet that he will stay on as coach of the Melbourne Storm – with the club poised to offer him $1 million a season to ensure he stays.
Bellamy is off-contract at the end of 2014, but talks to extend his contract are sure to crank up after Sunday’s grand final against the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.
Bellamy has been heavily linked to other NRL clubs, including the New Zealand Warriors, St George Illawarra Dragons and Sydney Roosters.
It is understood the Storm are ready to pay him handsomely to stay. The club is mindful that several key players have clauses in their contracts that allow them to walk away if Bellamy moves on as coach.
Storm owners News Limited also know that Bellamy would be fundamental to any sale of the club in the next few years.

I heard that too, but Beale will settle in once he’s there with the Nz contingent…. Bellamy wont shift, anyone who thinks News limited doesnt have the cash to keep him is fooling themselves – he’ just driving up the price with a wait and see approach.
Belly Ache is the best in the game . He was the mastermind behind the broncos. Hes the best coach in the NRL and Thurston/Smith are the best players in the NRL Not Hasler/Barba

no – dunst from Stg will not pay a 1M for a coach when he thinks he gets value for money from Price at a third of that figure…
Bellamy is worth it. No player is worth a million but what he gets out of his payers he is well worth it. Hasler isnt worth half of what belly ache is.
