Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are pleased to announce the signing of exciting outside back Matthew Wright, effective immediately.

Wright has been released from his contract with the Nth Qld Cowboys and will join the Sea Eagles this weekend. He has played 96 appearances in the NRL.

The former Cronulla Sharks and North Queensland player has signed with the Sea Eagles for the next three years.

Coach Trent Barrett said Wright would be a great asset to the team.

“Matthew is a quality player who can easily play full-back, wing, centre, and five-eighth. When he became available, we didn’t hesitate to sign him,’’ Barrett said.

“He has played almost 100 first grade games and his experience and utility value will be of enormous value to us as we progress further into the season. We look forward to welcoming him to the club.”
