Greg Inglis will carry a knee injury for the rest of his career but Queensland captain Cameron Smith believes it won’t stop him returning to his rampaging best.

Inglis has carried a problem in his right knee since 2013 but managed to play a crucial role in the Rabbitohs’ 2014 premiership.

The 29-year-old fullback showed glimpses of the destructive play that’s made him an NRL superstar but said his knee would need to be constantly monitored.

“It’s going to be ongoing for the rest of my career,” he said.
