The Gold Coast’s backline faces a major shake-up with the arrival of Jarryd Hayne and the likely victims could include William Zillman, Josh Hoffman and David Mead.

Veteran prop Luke Douglas won’t return. Young Brisbane prop Jarrod Wallace has been signed to take his place at the Titans. Former Parramatta rake Nathan Peats’ mortgage on the No 9 jumper is likely to see Daniel Mortimer, Kieran Moseley, and Matt Srama farewelled. Nathan Friend is retiring.

English Test centre Dan Sarginson will join Hayne and Konrad Hurrell at the Titans in 2017.

The challenge facing the ­Titans is how to manage boom youngsters Nathan Davis, Brian Kelly and John Olive, whose talent and performances have seen them earmarked as “can’t miss” prospects.
