The Parramatta Eels have announced they have granted troubled half Kieran Foran a release from the remainder of his contract with the club.

Foran, who is dealing with a number of personal issues, had requested a release from his contract with the club to take time out of the game to get his life back on track.

The release of Foran now opens plenty of opportunities for the Eels, with the re-signing of Corey Norman and former star fullback Jarryd Hayne now realistic options.
